Why Do You Need A Weight Loss Diet?
There is an obesity epidemic occuring in our nation and we need to do something about it. In 1980, 35% of Americans were overweight. Why Is Leucine Important In A Weight Loss Diet?
Leucine is a muscle building and essential amino acid found in protein-rich foods. Recent scientific evidence shows that consumption of additional leucine during a weight loss diet spares lean tissue (muscle). Other amino acids serve mainly as building blocks for muscle protein, but the benefits of extra leucine also signals your muscle to increase protein synthesis, thus saving lean muscle mass.
